Wheel of Fortune always shows the category above the board. Pick the same one in the solver — it instantly limits the search to that category's answers only (6,513 for Phrase). Popular categories are one tap away.

Count the separate words on the board — the gaps between tile groups make it easy. Our example has four: A · PIECE · OF · CAKE. Tap 4 and every answer with a different word count disappears from the list.

Now count the letter tiles in each word, including the ones still blank. Here that is 1, 5, 2 and 4. Every length you enter cuts the list further — and you can leave a word empty if you are not sure yet.

Tap a letter once to mark it green — it has been revealed on the board, so the answer must contain it. Tap again to mark it dark — it was called but is not in the puzzle, so the answer must not contain it. A third tap clears the letter.

The count updates live with every filter you set — from 6,513 Phrase answers down to the handful that still fit, and finally to one. Letters you marked green are highlighted inside each result so you can check it against the board, and the Tiles view shows the answer exactly like the show's puzzle board.
